All children should have equal access to a quality education, and parents should be able to decide what educational option best meets their needs. School choice is the commonsense solution for families stuck in failing schools. I believe giving parents the freedom to choose their children’s educational future will encourage competition and growth in our school districts.

I also believe in supporting the development of vocational and technical schools, which are crucial in providing alternative education opportunities to students and training our next generation of engineers, technicians, healthcare workers, and more.

In addition, we should rein in college costs by reforming the federal school loan program, which contributes to inflated tuition and the student loan debt crisis. We should not allow universities to continue to push these loan programs to enrich themselves, and we cannot continue to send young adults into the world with tens of thousands of dollars of college debt that they are unable to repay.
